HISTORY OF THE METAL

Bismuth, has been known since ancient times. 

APPEARENCE AND CHARACTERISTICS

It has a silvery white color,but when it oxidates it changes into a pink tinge.

It is brittle and marginally radioactive.

USES AND APPLICATIONS

Bismuth its used in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, paints, ceramics, calastyls and minor applications.

TOXICITY

If you inhale it, it is a poison,causing respiratory problems. In large ammounts, it causes diseases, and if you ingest it, it affects your liver and kidneys.
